Despite rumors that Best Actress frontrunner Jessica Chastain might skip the 2022 Oscars red carpet, lo' and behold, she went!

The Eyes of Tammy Faye star's priority today was supporting the movie's makeup artists, who are nominated for the Best Makeup and Hairstyling award.

“I will absolutely be present when the makeup category is being called,” she said on The Next Best Picture podcast.

The most important thing for me is to honor the incredible artisans who work in our industry.”

Jessica clearly found a way to do both. She walked the 2022 Oscars red carpet wearing a beautiful lilac purple Gucci gown.

She walked the red carpet with her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Prepoluso, who is casually an Italian count.

Last weekend, the actress hit a different event on the awards circuit when she presented the Stanley Kramer Award to Rita Moreno at the 33rd Annual Producers Guild Awards. For the occasion, Jessica wore Miu Miu.
