Battered and bruised this late in the season, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry got even more banged up in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
In the fourth quarter, Curry was involved in a battle for a loose ball and in the ensuing pile up, Boston Celtics big man Al Horford landed on the Warriors superstar's leg.
Curry immediately howled in pain and laid on the court for quite some time before getting up and continuing to play.
At the time, it appeared that Curry injured his left ankle, which has been an issue for him dating back to the early part of his career.
Curry even wears heavy duty ankle braces to protect his ankles from suffering any more serious injuries.
However in his postgame press conference, Curry said he hurt his left foot on the play and that despite being in pain, he remains optimistic about his status for Game 4.
The Warriors have not yet announced anything official about Curry's status for Game 4 and any possible injury he may be dealing with.
But as noted above, Curry told reporters after Game 3 that he hurt his foot and is experiencing some pain.
