Steve Jobs was born on 24 February 1955 in San Francisco (California, USA). A few months after his birth, he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Paul and Clara Jobs became the parents of Steve Jobs. Steve’s birth father was Abdul Fattah Jandali, and his mother was Joan Shible.

 Abdul Fattah was an Arab Muslim from Syria who was doing his PhD at the University of Wisconsin. So during that time, he met Joan Schible. They both got into a relationship with each other. 

Tired of this relationship, Shibal’s father had said that he would kill Shibal if she maintained a relationship with a Muslim boy.

Paul and Clara Jobs raised Steve. He considered Paul and Clara Jobs as his parents. He never let it feel that they were not his parents.

Steve Jobs met Lorraine Powell in the year 1989. They got married on 18 March 1991. Steve and Powell’s first child was Reid, born in September 1991. Powell gave birth to Erin in August 1995 and Eve in May 1998.

Steve’s father, Paul, was an engineer. In 1957 he also adopted Patricia, who became Steve’s sister. Now his family moved to Monta Loma, near Mountain View.

Paul being a good engineer, could make everything related to equipment. If he needed anything, he would make it. Because of an engineering environment in the family, Steve’s interest started increasing in electronics and engineering. 

But, he did not make friends in school life, and he always lived alone. Steve used to get very bored in school, and he used to get involved in mischief. 

Seeing this child weak in studies, Teddy, named teacher, started giving some money to learn and remember the things studied in school. Due to this, Steve started doing the best work by working more and more.

 In 1967, Jobs’ father put all his savings to buy a house in Los Altos, California. After moving to a new home, Steve couldn’t go to a good college school as he had a very good school nearby.

When Steve Jobs moved with his entire family to Los Altos (California), Steve joined Homestead High School there. This high school was very well connected to Silicon Valley.

Jobs enrolled in their first year at Homestead High School with Bill Fernandez in 1968. Bill introduced him to Steve Wozniak. Wozniak and Jobs became close friends. Later, he founded the Apple company.

Gradually, Steve’s interest in class decreased, and he started keeping his hair long. He started reading literary books in high school, showing little interest in his syllabus. His interest had developed in electronics and literature. In his last year of high school, he had a friend, Wozniak, and Chrisann Brennan’s. 

After dropping out of school in 1971, Steve entered Reed College in Portland in 1972. This college was quite expensive, which was difficult to afford for Steve’s parents. After one semester, Steve dropped out of college without informing his parents. After leaving college, he said that he did not want to waste his parents’ money on an education which is of no use to him.

 After dropping out of college, he took a course to learn calligraphy. From this calligraphy course, he learned a lot about making fonts look good. 

Building the Apple Company

In March 1976, Wozniak built the first Apple computer and showed it to Steve Jobs. In April of the same year, Steve Jobs, Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded the Apple company.

All the company’s procedures were done inside Steve’s bedroom; later, it was taken inside the garage. Ronald Wayne stayed with the company for a short time, allowing Steve and Wozniak to remain primarily co-founders and directors.

He needed money to run the company successfully, so Wozniak sold his HP calculator, and Jobs sold his Volkswagen Wayne.

The company made a computer named Apple First and sold many of its units, which gradually started earning. The company went public, and Steve became a millionaire. On 24 January 1984, Steve launched the Macintosh computer.

This computer was very expensive, so the middle-class people could not buy it, and IBM’s computers were being sold more. At the same time, Microsoft’s Windows software started coming to IBM’s computers, and the market share of Macintosh computers declined.

Steve Jobs Death

In October 2003, his parents realised that Steve Jobs had cancer. On 24 October 2011, he automatically went from CEO to the chairman of Apple Company and made Tim Cook the next CEO. Jobs continued to work in the Apple company for six weeks.

Steve Jobs died on 5 October 2011 at 3:00 pm in his home in Palo Alto (USA). The cause of his death was an islet cell tumour.

Both Apple and Pixar announced his death, and Apple closed its public service for that day.
