Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi was born on 28 October 1955 in a Tamil family in the city of Madras (now Chennai), Tamil Nadu. Her father worked in ‘State Bank of Hyderabad’, and his grandfather was a district judge. Nooyi’s early education took place at Holy Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Madras.
After grabbing her master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata (IIM Kolkata), Indra Nooyi started her career in India with Johnson & Johnson and served the company as a product manager.
